Pohaku Park, Kaanapali Maui, Hawaii -- And, Some Fun News

Pohaku Park, Kaanapali, Maui, Hawaii
6" x 8"  Oil
$100.00 + $10. s/h

This is my my last pein air Maui piece.  I'm sure I'll do studio works from my photos and plein air studies.  I had company for this painting!  This man asked if he could sit on the bench, put on his
music, watched the surfers, and never looked at what I was doing.

A typical beach...lots of rocks and only a little beach.

I thought that a sunset was appropriate for my final Hawaiian post.

And, now for some fun news!
This week I am a guest speaker on Artists Helping Artists, Blog Talk Radio.  The show is about "Starting Your Career After The Kids Are Grown."  Should be lots of fun, hope you can listen Thursday, March 8, 10:00 MST.  Here's the link:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/artistshelpingartists/2012/03/08/starting-your-art-career-when-the-kids-are-grown
Or, you can listen to the recorded version afterwards.

Pam, I have so thoroughly enjoyed your posts on Hawaii. Your paintings are so rich and beautiful and your posts are like reading a wonderful book! Each painting is so lush - I just want to GO there! I didn't want to go to Hawaii when we went there (I thought if you've seen one palm tree you've seen them all!) but there is a serenity and an openness that is transcendent. Thank you so much for sharing.

Love the story about the guy sitting on the bench. Amazing he wasn't curious enough to look! This is a beautiful painting with the tree over the water.

Can't wait to listen to your interview with Leslie and Kathy.

Kelley, Thank you! I so appreciate your thoughts. I think that as artists we hope that when someone looks at one of our pieces that they will want to go there, want to join me for a cup of tea, a glass of wine, an afternoon in my garden. ..whatever it is that we are trying to express! You are so welcome!

Thank you Nancy, It is funny what you get when you are "out" there! Some people peek, some are bold, some look at you like what are you doing?? And, some are just there!

Hilda, Thanks so much. I truly loved the scenery and life every where. I loved all the little parks and beaches and peaceful spots.

What a vacation this has been. I don't know which I liked best - the paintings or the photos! Love the blues and greens of this piece you've done Pam.
