Looking Up The River

This is the second piece that I painted on The Frying Pan River.  I love the almost abstract, loose quality of this one.  River water is constantly moving and changing color depending on the weather and sky color.

Excellent, Pam. I love how you captured the rough waters!!

Hi Pam,
You did capture the movement of water. I also looked back at your last post of the rocks under the water..... I can imagine the difficulty of trying to capture that....such sensitivity and subtleness. A fisherman husband and a plein-air wife sure do go hand in hand.

Thank you Sue. It's fun when the painting becomes quick and loose! Hilda, thanks so much. Moving water is a challenge! Patti, as always, thanks so much. Yes, it is great that our passions go hand in hand.
