October on the South Platte River

6" x 6" oil on panel
SOLD

This piece is from last week, before the 4 inches of snow froze the leaves in South Park. I know, those of you who live elsewhere have bigger rivers, but the South Platte is a typical Colorado River.

Gorgeous!!! Really gorgeous. Composition is delightful and colors are so vibrant. Love it. Sorry to hear the snow has taken away the color but it each season has a beauty of its own.

beautiful rich colors, contrasted with just the right amount of neutrals. I'd like to see it frozen too!

I love the colors in this Pam!!

Really awesome.... now are you going to paint it covered in snow too???

You could do your own version of Kevin Macpherson's "Life On a Pond...."

Debbi, you're right. I'm looking forward to snow scenes!

Karen & Marian, what you don't know is that this is near our mountain property...1 hour drive, opening 3 gates, hiking 45 minutes, sleeping in a trailer. Haven't decided if I'm going to do this scene in winter!

Susan, Thanks. I'm forever working on edges!
