It's really helpful to me to paint the same subject several times. The shapes seem easier when repeated often. And, goats are just big shapes.

Love both of these goat paintings. Your paint strokes are luscious! You perfectly captured that bluish gray goat color that is so hard to pin down and the style gives it a rough, furry look. Great job!

This is really quite a nice painting, Pam. Modeling is wonderful and full of life and texture. I liked reading the story about the goat herd and its use. Been catching up with blog reading. Your Sunflowers rendition is also good. I, too, used to read the same story to my middle school kids.
