Love the simplicity, and focus on form and shape, color and value. Negative space is also interesting.

Nice studies, Pam. I have spent a good deal of time in the canyon country and Monument Valley is such a great place. Like you said I expected John Wayne to ride over the rim at any time. As a kid I read a lot of Zane Grey and when I first went and in trips I take into that country and northern Arizona I can see so clearly his descriptions of the land.
You are off to a greaat start.
