One More Time

5" x 7" oil on gessoed masonite
$100.00 + $10. s/h

For me, painting the same subject matter several times is a great lesson.  I tried not to compare the three sky holes as I painted them to see how similarly the values and colors were mixed.

I love these!!! The compositions and the cropping are incredible...and really instructive about how to create interesting abstract design before worrying about details! love them!
What do you mean about not comparing the skyholes?

Thanks Karen, There really aren't any details. Just color and shape (but that's all there is at any time). I didn't mean I wasn't comparing the skyholes, I meant I tried not to compare the colors as I was mixing each one.

These are wonderful paintings of a very special place! One of my students is painting this exact spot, and I would love to send her a link to your blog to see what you have done, but she doesn't 'do computer'...may have to take my laptop up to the studio so she can see this!

Really nice here, this one has a nice value contrast ---the shadow on the ceiling of the arch is really good..:)love this series!

Thanks Claire, I hope your student will someday change her mind about computers. We all learn and share so much through blogging!

Sandra, So glad you like these. They were fun to paint.
