6" x 6" oil on panel

Last weekend I went to Kelley Macdonald's virtual cocktail party.  I brought the wine. I thought the cork made a great painting.

What a fun subject. Great composition. Makes me yearn for a glass of wine.

Thanks Cathyann, It was great to do a small piece w/ lots of background.

Karen, It is a fun subject. I think I'll keep the kitchen , or bar, in my repertoire.

Thank you Dana, I guess I could have included all the corks! Another painting!

Denny, Thank you!

What exquisite colors! And that you tackled that corkscrew and did it so beautifully? Amazing. Please pass that bottle this way...

Thanks Jan. I used a view finder to help w/ the composition. Some say it's a crutch, but it helped to focus in on just part of this.

Kelley, Yes, I could have done just this, but I didn't think of it until after the wine bottles!

Thanks Liz, I think I'll do another painting of this. I liked the new subject matter.

Autumn, Thank you. The background was white, so I really pushed the values.

Pam, Great job on the bottle opener and cork! That must have been challenging to paint! Love the concept! Beautifully done, and a beautiful painting!
