Spring is here.  In many places that means warm weather and blooming flowers.  In the Colorado Rockies, it is still winter in March.  Yesterday we had 4 inches of snow with temperatures in the low 30s.  Today it's still in the 30s, but a beautiful sunny day.

On Thursday I had lunch with my art group, (we get together once each month). My friend Marianne brought daffodils for us.  They did not grow in Colorado!  Such a great gift for a snowy day!  The flowers looked so spring-like and cheerful in front of the window, with gray skies and snow flying outside!  The daffodils seemed like a great daily paintings.

Beautiful! So nice to see your floral paintings again. Can't wait for more. The first day of spring here was quite cold and windy, after a gorgeous week. Looking forward to warmer temps and more gorgeous landscapes to paint.

And oh so beautiful! Yes, I have to admit a couple of days of teasing spring time temps left me lusting for more. Love the bright sunshiney feel to these dafs, Pam.

Debbi, Yes, as our garden grows I'll be in the backyard painting more flowers! Not until May.

Thanks Autumn, Spring in Colorado has it's temperature changes. It's a good thing flowers are plentiful in the grocery store!

Celeste and Liz, We do have daffodils here, but not until late April/May. It'l still below freeing at night.

Thanks Karen, Yellow is such a great color for a snowy day.

Great painting, great color combination. Nature always has beautiful choices. Stay warm there in the Rockies, I'm sure the snow is beautiful

Amy, When it snows here in the spring, it usually melts pretty quickly!
