Very beautiful painting. L love the loose brushstrokes and the soft colors. I think of hollyhocks as a very old-fashioned flower. I think my grandmother grew them in her vegetable garden.
I recognized your beautiful hollyhock right away! They are crazy tall here in Cleveland too. Such a lovely flower, not the easiest to compose though. Nice job!
Thank you Debbi, Yes. It is beautiful here this year. Too bad you aren't coming this year.
Jill, Thank you. that's the challenge, isn't it? Getting just the right amount?!
Thank you Kim, My plan is to paint more hollyhocks.
Linda, Thank you!
Amy, Thanks. Flowers are just 3-d art.
Thank you Kelley, My husband and I both enjoy gardening. Or should I say that my husband doesn't like mowing, so we have lots of garden space!
Virginia, Thank you. Yes, hollyhocks do seem kind of of fashioned! Never thought of having them in the vegetable garden. maybe they help keep away bugs.

The color is wonderful!
Very sweet and love the soft colors. Colorado sounds wonderful this summer. Beats the scorching heat in Texas. Miss you.
Wow- I like the patches of color that don't say too much, but just enough. Nice statement!
