100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings, Original Artwork by Pam Holnback, 74/100

And A Third
6" x 6" Oil
$100.00 + $10. s/h

Those of you who follow my blog know that I love to paint series.  I often paint three of something.  It helps me see the colors, values, simplify shapes.  Since we have so many coreopsis in our back yard, I just keep moving around and seeing another great shape just waiting to be painted!

I suddenly am craving pineapple, of all things. You've captured again that beautiful color and I love the almost blurred background of the foliage beyond the bloom. Reminds of a photo when the photographer focuses in on something and the background tends to blur out. Powerful!

I wouldn't know a coreopsis if I FELL over it - all I know is I love this painting! You should think about doing them BIG!

Very striking. What a lovely exploration of golds! Kelley is so fun and very correct - try them BIG! Would be knock-outs. Happy Friday!

I love this... really love it!! But it looks like a daisy of some sort... not a coreopsis... At least not the coreopsis that we have on the SoCal coastal areas.
Ours are very strange ... only bloom in spring and are domant the rest of the year .... looking strangely prehistoric.

Your painting is fabulous!!
I'm really curious about the type of coreopsis plant. .... Off to the encyclopedia!!!

This is wonderful, Pam! Coreopsis is such a cheery flower to have in the garden, and it is so resilent - you've really captured this little flower beautifully.

Thank you so much Sherry! I'm sure that you can find a pineapple at the store. It seems that we can get any fruit now any time of the year!

Kelley. Thank you so much. Funny how different plants grow in different places. You're right. These would look great large. I think I'll do that!

Thank you Debbi. Yellows and golds are always an exploration!

Marian. Thank you! I'm going to email you for your address and put some seeds in a big envelope and send them off to you!

Claire, Thank you! They are resilient. And so prolific!

Thank you Laurel. I love the summer and out door flowers.

Nancy, thank you! Yellow is a challenge. I've been trying for days to pick a yellow paint chip for the walls in our great room. Can't seem to find the exact one!
