Fresh Snow

Fresh Snow
6" x 6"  Oil
$75.00 + $10. s/h

This is a painting from a previous winter.  When I look at it now, I think that I would put more warm violets into the snow.  But yet, as I sit and remember, it was a cold day and I think that the very cool, blue snow works.  What do you think?

Love how the blue shadow in the snow brings you into the painting! I think it is beautiful the way it is.

Me too! Love the bits of warm reds/oranges popping out thru the trees and hills in the background. Nice contrast to the cool blues. Feels like you are right there.

I think it is perfect exactly as it is, Pam. It is the kind of snow that you can smell when you step outside, the bite and sting of winter. Beautiful!

Thank you Carol! This is like a mini-critique session.

Debbi. Thanks. I sse what you mean w/ the oranges peeking through. didn't think of that!

Thank you Sherry. There are many kinds of snow. You're right!

Hilda, Thank you so much!

Thank you Carol.

Janelle, Thank you. I like it when we just get this much, 6-8 inches instead of feet!

I love it the way it is, but some additional color tension would add to it as well. Do we ever really finish paintings! LOL!

Feels like a brisk walk in the snow, and I didn't even have to dig out my coat! Beautiful blues.
