In this little piece the shadow has become almost as important as the flower. I love the way my eye moves around the flower, around the shadow, around the vase shadow top, around the top of the vase, up the stem and then moves all over again!

So lovely! Did you do this painting in Santa Fe? If so, so sorry I missed it. It's gorgeous. Love the hints of pink showing through on the shadow as well.
This is lovely Pam...I love the flower...I love shadows too and this one is beautiful!

Stunning red in this beauty, Pam. I am reminded of the candy lipsticks that we used to be able to get when I was a kid.
Great little painting, I do love how the shadow becomes an important part of the composition. Well done Pam.
Debbi, Thank you. I love those little bits of pink, too!
Thank you Karen. It started as a painting of a flower, but the shadow became a major part!
Sherry, Thanks so much. I remember those lipsticks!
Thanks so much Amy!
A beautiful painting I am especially captured by the way you have painted the shadow. Beautiful.
The shadow is what makes your flower painting so powerful!! Nice job!!!
The pieces you have produced in Carol's workshop are fantastic. Love everything about this one!
