Pudding Dish

Pudding Dish
6" x 6"  Oil
$75.00 + $10. s/h

I spent last week in Santa Fe taking an advanced workshop from Carol Marine.  I have to say that it was a great week.  For six of us it was the third workshop that we've taken together, so it was a mini reunion.  The rest of the class was "new" but we all became friends quickly.

The first day of the class was spent painting whites and grays.  The second day was spent on glass and flowers.  So, I combined them both for this set up.  This little pudding dish belonged to my husband's grandmother.  We have a set of six.  I think I'm going to use them more in future paintings.

We stayed at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Retreat Center.  It was a beautiful campus.

What a beautiful but not so simple, simple painting. Love the grays. xo Jenny

A lovely painting and I love the refraction of the reflection of the stem. I knew Kelley was at the same workshop but hadn't realized you were there too. I love the closeness of the artist blogging community.

I am totally envious! I would have adored to take Carol's workshop - especially in Santa Fe.
Love what you painted. You did a fantastic job on both the reflective glass and softness of the flower.

Nancy, thank you. Yes, I'm sure there is a future painting there!

Thank you Jenny. White was one of the week's daily lessons. IE: white is a mixture of grays.

Sherry, thank you. It is a small community. And, a great one.

Thank you Julie. Wish you had been there, too. would love to have met you!
