Manitou Springs

6" x 8" oil on panel
$75.00 + $10. s/h
SOLD

The other day my plein-aire group painted in Manitou Springs. Manitou is the next town to the west, more or less touching Colorado Springs. It is a historic town, with many buildings built in the last century. It was a fun painting challenge, as the morning light was quickly changing.

Thanks all for your comments. I really tried to just simplify and paint quickly.

Pam, just love, love, this hot bright colors and the abstract feeling of this painting! So daramatic, i think it has to do with the almost monotone, color palette. Gorgeous!

Cathyann, let me know if you do come this way. And, yes, I love these new colors.

Nancy, painting so quickly made me only look at the large shapes and colors and it is kind of abstract.
