100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings, Original Artwork by Pam Holnback, 44/100

Sweet Corn
6" x 8" oil on board
$100.00 + $10. s/h

Right now the sweet corn in Colorado is incredible!  Corn is one of my favorite vegetables.  We eat is as our main course and side dish.  There's almost nothing else on the plate!  There's no procrastinating this painting...I've got to paint it before we eat!

I miss playing hide and seek in the corn field and having fresh corn every night. Fond corn memories!! :)

I know corn has a lot of 'sugar' in it, but I'd love it instead of a dessert! Nice job with the 'hair', too!

Love the perspective on this one Pam! Dynamic. A lot of corn is grown where I live too and I can't get enough of it : )

Aaahh yes, beautiful sweet corn. We have lots in southern Ontario now too. Love the rosy pink background highlighting the rich greens. A feast for the eyes (and tummy).

Carol, Thanks so much. I really had fun w/ this new subject matter.

Thank you Kelley, Why don't you just serve if for dessert? I think that's a great idea.

Kim, Thank you. I moved this ear around for awhile until I found the angle I liked the best.

Thank you Sherry, Glad you like it!

Nancy, Thanks. I was really pleased w/ these colors.

Thanks Ak, Appreciate your visit and comments.

Liz, Thank you. It's amazing how many greens, both warm and cool, were in this ear!

Thank you Kelley, So glad you like the colors.

Catherine, Thank you. I like putting complements in the background, but didn't want it a strong red... too Christmasy and dark.

Susan, Thank you. I'm having a great time w/ these garden pieces.

Thank you Amy, We're having corn again, too!

I am really enjoying your still lifes, the little jewel paintings of fruit and vegetables. I also like your point of view on both of these. Wonderful paintings!
