This is the back garden gate of the main ranch house at Triangle L Ranch and B&B in Oracle, Az. When the ranch was homesteaded in the 1890's, or when it became a guest ranch in the 1920's, there may have been both a front formal garden as well as a back vegetable garden.

One of the things that struck me so funny when I lived in Tucson were the green painted yards. I'd never seen such a thing before! I mention it because I am so surprised to hear of gardens down there! This is so soft and beautiful; hints of lazy hazy summer days gone by. Beautiful, Pam!
Beautiful scene and painting Pam.
Beautiful soft light and colors.
Very, very beautiful! :-)
Sherry, Thank you! You're right! There weren't our typical northern gardens behind these gates, but you could tell that these were garden areas; desert gardens.
Thank you Carol. A great thing about traveling is that you paint a different environment.
Catherine, Thank you!
Thank you very much Crystal!
So beautiful and sunny, makes me want to be transported to that spot.
What a lovely painting, Pam. Beautiful colors in the gate walls. Reminds me of sunny, warm days ahead.
Beautiful, Pam! I will be in Arizona in March for a workshop! Hope I see some scenery like this!
Gorgeous place, and gorgeous painting! This looks so serene, and lush! Would love to be there now!
Carrie, thank you so much. I loved how the sun helped me out that ay!
Thank you Kelley, Yes! I want those sunny days!
Joy, Thanks. I'm sure you'll have a great workshop. And see great sights.
Thank you Nancy, Yes. With all the cold we're having, I would love to be there, too!
I have to say I really like the decision you made to add the touch of blue sky, without it this would seem heavy. Very nice!
Beautiful light in this and your previous Tuscon painting! I'm headed down there in a few weeks...can't wait!
Beautiful. So painterly.
Kim, thank you. and, I looked back at the piece and you're right.
Thank you Karen, Can't wait to see what you paint down there!
