More Grays and Greens

More Grays and Greens - Alaskan Plein Air # 11/14
5" x 7" Oil on canvas on board
$75.00 + $10. s/h

Gray and green values were abundant in Alaska.  Everyday had different scenes with different values and colors.

And everyday had wildlife.  Often a whale,

or two.

I think it was Ken Backhaus that said "Gray and green are the glue of a landscape painting"! Beautiful piece, Pam. And thanks for the Alaska photos!

Beautiful scene. Love the muted colors and the lovely composition. Very moody. And so excited you saw whales. We hope to see some in August in off Vancouver Island. xoxo

Sherry, Thank you. This is also one of my husband's favorites. I think for him it's the color and simplicity.

Thank you Kelley! A great quote, I've written it down and will use it again!

Debbi, Thank you so much. There were so many moody days up there! I do hope you see some whales! We even saw orcas!

Pam--all your Alaska paintings are wonderful. This is my favorite--you really captured the water and the distance to the land.
