Red, Please

Red, Please
6" x 6" Oil
SOLD

I received a commission to paint a wine glass.  This client had purchased two of my other pieces, wine bottles and corks with a cork screw.  She wanted a third, knowing that that would look better in her home.  It isn't always that you get to see where your pieces are and how your pieces look in someone's home.  But, she invited me over to get my opinion, see her colors, and see about the third piece.  The two paintings are hanging in their great room, over a small bureau that they use as a bar.  They look great (if I may say so myself.)  I hope to be able to see the third, when it's up.  I loved painting the wine glass.  So, I painted four and let her choose the one she wanted.

Saturday a group of artists will be painting, and showing some work, at Summerland Gardens 124 East Cheyenne Road 80906, during the Farmer's Market.   The market is from 10:00 until 3:00.  Stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

The client's set up sounds perfect, Pam! If you get to see the three pieces together, do ask if you can take a photo! I am imagining it to look absolutely superb! This is a great piece for her collection!

I don't know who's luckier - you for having such a generous and appreciative client or her for having, now, 3 of your paintings! Wonderful reflections and depth of color in this one, Pam!

What a beautiful painting and what a great idea to paint more than one and let the client choose. Takes some of the pressure off.

Nothing like a glass of red wine to warm the cockles of the heart! And you certainly do that with this great piece.

Thank you Sherry. I do plan on taking a picture. I'll try to post it, too.

Kelley, Thank you so much! These were fun to paint!

Thanks so much Karla. Daily paintings don't take too long to paint, so painting four wasn't that much work. I would have painted of something. And, she really liked the idea of choosing. She didn't know I was going to do that.

Heather, Thank you!

Thank you so much Julie! I'll post the others in the next few days.

Liz, Thank you. Ah, the cockles of the heart. Yes, they were warmed!
