When I wake up and look at this view with my morning coffee I know that someone is wishing me a great "Good Morning"!

Today was a gorgeous Colorado day with afternoon highs in the 60s and lows last night of 19.  It is typical to have more than 40 degrees temperature change in one day.  Tomorrow's high is to be 26 with an overnight low of 4!  Knowing how cold it will be for the rest of the week, I went for a hike at the Garden of The Gods this morning!

I had a question about how I paint these skies from my deck, ie:  do I set up on the deck, do I paint from the kitchen?  Actually, I do both of these as well as use photo references.  I think that whatever way works best for the artist, is the best way to paint!  As I've said, some mornings I just sit with my cup of coffee and look, as these sunrises pass pretty quickly!

Gros bisous

Beautiful! I too sometimes paint from the patio or from inside the house! With the weather changing I think more of from inside the house!

Merci Martine. Si vous avez vécu à proximité, je serais certainement vous avez plus d'une tasse de thé ou de café.

Thank you Sherry!

Lori, Thanks so much. I can imagine that your weather by the shore is getting cold and windy.

Pam, these sunrise paintings are wonderful and so great that you are sharing your "morning time" with us. I remember reading a book in which the artist would always paint sunrises,(new beginnings) but never sunsets-can't remember the book, though!

Wow what vast temperature variations where you live! We are in the Atlanta area with milder November/December, I am sure I would need thick down comforter in the evenings there! Enjoying your landscapes, I don't know how anyone can paint so small, I should try some day! Beautiful.

So glad that you like this, Joan. thank you.

Fay, thank you. Wonder what that book was. I paint skies all times of the day! Western skies are spectacular.

Thank you Tina. We regularly have 0 degree temperature changes. And, yes, you do need a down comforter, or two! I only paint skies this really small size.

Hilda. Thank you. Yes, it is important for us to just sit and enjoy!
