Quiet Dawn

Quiet Dawn
5" x 7"  Oil

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with delicious food, great friends and family.  I am thankful for all of that and more.  I am grateful for all the friends I've made and the many people that I've met through blogging.  I am so thankful that I can spend my time painting.  I would also have to say that I'm lucky to look at this view in the morning.

Lovely painting ... beauty in the morning is a great way to start the day.

When you paint these scenes from your house (?) are you outside - plein air, or are you inside plein air?

I'm thinking I need to start some new habits in the morning, painting a beautiful sunrise would be a good way to start.

Thank you Nancy. When I paint skies I sometimes paint them plein air, sometimes have been standing in our kitchen, sometimes use photos for reference.

Dean, thanks so much. And, we are blessed.

Thanks so much Hilda. Colorado is full of beautiful views.

Merci ma chère Pam de nous transmettre cette sérénité par le biais de ta peinture. Des couleurs magnifiques... Il doit être bon d'avoir en pleine face un si merveilleux spectacle pour débuter la journée.
Gros bisous à toi.
