Tis The Season

This The Season
6" x 6"  Oil
$100.00 + $10. s/h

This is the second of the vintage, non shiny Christmas ornaments that I recently painted.  It was great how so many commenters on my last post talked about the ornaments from their childhood, their mother's ornaments, etc.  What wonderful memories of the past.  I would love to have all, or even some, of the ornaments from my childhood trees to paint.  How many ornaments from your childhood do you still have?

Ooh, this is even more lovely than the last painting! The palette is my favorite! I recently gave all my old ornaments to my youngest daughter. I have nothing!

What a challenge to have all those different variations of blues in there. You did it masterfully.

Thank you Sherry. It is fun to switch out the background fabric. It changes the whole painting!

Theresa. Thanks so much. I was a bit leery of doing this in an all cool palette, but I like it, too!

Amy, thank you. Why don't you challenge yourself to all blue shoes!?

Thanks so much Hilda. I'm also happy w/ it!

I love the glowing luminescence of color on the ornaments' surfaces. Just beautiful.
