These hollyhocks are from our backyard.  We've had so much rain this year, way more than normal for Colorado.  The flowers and gardens are spectacular.   I spent the last 2 days painting in gardens on a garden tour.  It was fun and the gardens were amazing.  More about that later.

I've photoed this over and over.  The colors are just a bit off.  I'll take a few more pictures and see if I can get it a bit more accurate.

Hi Pam, The pale violet halftones inside the hollyhock flowers are beautiful.... and perfect too. Without them the painting would fall flat. I wish I could zoom in more on the painting, but I still can see its beauty. Also thanks for all your nice responses too.

Pattie, Thank you very much! I love painting grays. They move from warms to cools within the same piece. Always a fun challenge!
