Celedon Creamer

Celedon Creamer
6" x 8" oil on panel
$100.00 + $10. s/h

This creamer was a little bit of a challenge, as there is a dog climbing up the handle and men, horses and hounds in relief walking around the body.  I chose to more or less leave them out and just suggest shapes.

I recently won a calendar of Kim VanDerHoek's paintings.  It arrived today!  I was so excited to win this and am so thrilled to have received it.  I met Kim threw blogging.  If you aren't familiar with her work, it is beautiful, go to her website, blog, or facebook site.

Great series, Psm! I do love how whenever I come over here, you've got all these multiples going...aren't they a great way to work out all the ideas?
Totally agree about suggestions of details, too...

Celeste, Thank you so much!

Thank you Sherry. Yes, it's a great green. I first saw it as a glaze.

Crystal, Thanks. I seem to own a lot of green/blue.

Thank you Clair, My hope was that the viewer could tell that there were shapes.

Gwen, Thank you. Yes, those colors work so well together.

Thank you Catherine. You're right. He did use those colors frequently.

Karen, Thank you. Yes, My mind just works that way. One painting gives me an idea for another, whether due to color or shape or subject. And then, off I go.

Pretty color, Pam.... but this looks more rectangular than square... Is it really 6 by 6?

Beautiful job on this, Pam!
There appears to be a white bird in flight in the reflection! Almost a spiritual connection.
