Ell Snow Shadows

Ell Snow Shadows
6" x 6" Oil on panel
$100.00 + $10. s/h

The trees and shadows create an L or partial rectangle, another of Edgar Payne's compositional forms.  Had I put one of the shrubs very near the far edge, this might have been Payne's steelyard composition.

This is even more beautiful than the last one, Pam. I love the wintery feel you've achieved with the limited palette.

A beautiful composition Pam - love the colours - there's a feeling of anticipation of Spring in this!

Love this. Something about the 2 probably barren trees standing strong in the snow is also interesting beyond your lovely composition and color choices.

Beautiful colors, feels like a warm winter day and soon the sap will be flowing, ready for spring!

I'm not familiar with 'Payne's steelyard composition', but I know this turned out so nice. It makes you think its cold out, hence the snow... yet you've managed to make it look warm. Lovely.
