Plein Air Alaska: Prince of Wales Island

I created a video (my first ever) of our trip to Alaska.  The video includes my plein air pieces, as well as snippets of the area.  Hope you enjoy!

Humm! J'aurais bien aimé être ce fameux aigle et surveiller votre travail tout aussi beau que ces merveilleuses vues...

Every time I visit your blog I think of your Alaska trip and the pieces you painted. It was so fun seeing them again, along with a couple that I missed. The AK pieces were among my most favorites!

Cathyann, thanks! The fawn is a Sitka deer. We saw them on beaches, on backroads. For protection, the fawns will play dead. The fawn that I'm looking down at on the beach lay like that for the whole half hour we were beach combing.

Thank you Kathryn! Yes, we loved Alaska and plan to go back!

Diane, Thank you! I'm so thrilled that we have the opportunities to travel, which allows me so many more painting experiences and reference.

Thank you so much Liz!

Oh my gosh! Envy is dripping as I respond. What an amazing trip! Shouldn't complain, have had a few myself and am hopefully good for a few more.

What a feeling you must have interpreting the 'scapes. I know the excitement of setting up a good shot with the camera, but to watch a painting come together out there, wow! And fishing in between?

Good on you, and am looking forward to seeing the next video.
