Poinsettia 2 -- 100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings

Poinsettia 2 - 100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings 94/100
6" x 6"  Oil
$80.00 + $10. s/h

HOLIDAY SALE  All paintings sold in december are 20% off my regular prices

Many artists are painting holiday themed pieces, as am I.  When I saw several other poinsettias I thought that the reds were so deep and strong.  I went back and looked at my still life set up.  My reds aren't deep because my poinsettia is a very cad red one.  Not an alizaron one.  Next year I'm going to get some in alizaron!

Still and yet, Pam, your poinsettia is beautiful. I love that dark red background especially with this piece.

I think the color of this is perfect, Pam. The loose, abstract background really adds to the festive feel of the painting!

Thank you so much Becky! I love to be eye catching!

Merci Martine. Vous avez raison. Un poinsettia est comme une étoile.

Sherry, thank you. Reds are a never ending challenge and variety.

Thanks so much Claire. I, too, like how this is loose and festive.

This is lovely Pam...you are right reds are a challenge, I have a few problems with them. Yours are really nice!

I thought it looked perfect!!
I love pointsettias, but have always been afraid to try painting one.

Maybe this year.

But it would be hard to match the one you painted here!!

Very nice reds in this one, Pam! Love how you've handled the edges!

Thank you so much Karen. I think that when painting reds it's always important to remember the transparency in Alizaron.

Marian, thank you. My red is like the red of my poinsettia, just not real deep. You should try one!

Thank you Celeste. Convincing is great to hear. I can't ask for more!

John, Thanks so much. It was fun to add the cerulean to the background. I, too, liked it's affect.

Thank you Dean. Soft edges work!
