The Dolores at Dusk

The Dolores at Dusk
8" x 10" oil on board
SOLD

The Dolores River is in southwestern Colorado in the San Juan National Forest. I think that this is one of the most beautiful areas of the state, although fairly remote.  Our son lives in Durango, about an hour from Dolores, so we have the opportunity to explore and enjoy that part of Colorado when we visit him.
In these recent river pieces, I've been focusing in on a small part of a landscape, showing an intimate part of a scene.  I am so very lucky that every where I look is another incredible vista, another magnificent scene.  These are another view.
