Tranquil Setting

I was a little bit hesitant about the name I chose for this river spot, as getting down to it wasn't that tranquil, it involved climbing over rocks.  But, once there, it was quiet and peaceful.  I've been using adjectives from recent comments to help me with titles.
It's really helpful to me to paint in a series, the fishing series right now.  I can look from piece to piece to see how I mixed a value, a shade, a color,  how I darkened a shape,  etc.  Even though these rivers and reservoirs are from different locations and months, I'm continually dealing with light and reflections on water.

Definitely tranquil and relaxing. I really like the colours you've used - they make such a warm, sunny painting. I wish I was there instead of in mid winter UK!

Vic, Thanks so much. Sometimes the color and beauty is just right there in front of you, waiting to be captured!

Thank you Sherry, Let me know when you get here, I'll go for a walk w/ you.

Kelley, Thank you. Sparkle is a great water word.

Thank Debbie, Special Spot would make a great title.

Theresa, Thank you. It is cold and snowy here today! Not warm and sunny!

Thank you Cathyann, I learn a lot from a series. makes me think outside the box.

The colors, light and brushwork in this are beautiful. It does look tranquil even if it was not an easy hike out.

What a lovely place... looks like a place I'd rather be right now, rather than expecting a blizzard in CT tonight!

Hey Pam,

You did use my comment (from a recent post) for a title of one of your beautiful paintings and this is the one!!! I'm delighted!!! And this is just gorgeous, well worth the effort to get there. Love it!

Gwen, Thank you. While the water may look "inviting", it is often so cold! Even in the summer!
