100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings, Original Artwork by Pam Holnback, 71/100

Another Tea Rose
6" x 6" Oil
$100.00 + $10. s/h

This is another tea rose from our garden.  It's hanging at Fairie Tales Restaurant. I realized that I'd forgotten to photograph it.  I think we all have our perfect spots for taking pictures of our paintings,  places where we know the light is just right.  I wasn't familiar with all the spots at the restaurant and think that this is a little bright.  I'll reshoot it next time I'm over there.

This week in our backyard:

I have yet to paint the candy cane roses or the liliums.

This week in our front yard:

We only have these two lonely flowers in our front yard.

Now we only have one flower in our front yard!

Glad your yard feeds the deer. I love them so. The tea rose is just lovely, Pam!

Love the shots with the deer! And those candy cane roses - don't they smell wonderful??? You did a good job photographing that painting - taking a picture of a hanging painting is a nightmare!

The painting is beautiful. And that's pretty much what the deer will do at our place too! Munch on flowers!!

Celeste, Thanks so much. I'm just glad that we have a fenced back yard so that we can have flowers somewhere!

Thank you Sherry. We call our front yard the salad bar!

Kelley. Thank you. I do love the smell of those roses. But have yet to tackle painting them!

Thank you Nancy. I try to paint them when the light offers some contrast.

Kimberly, Thank you! I feel like the meal provider. Oh well! It's fun to see them!

Lovely little painting! The brushwork in the rose petals is very nicely done.

Thank you Marian, I should do a series if deer paintings.

Lorraine. thank you! I love painting flowers..I bring out colors that aren't on my normal palette. For this one I used a mixture of Permanent Rose, Magenta and Cad Red Light.

This tea rose is gorgeous! Think the photo is fine. We have deer too. They are great except when our flowers become their dinner all the time. I want hydrangeas and there is no way!:)

Your rose is gorgeous, Pam. The deer are beautiful, but they do a lot of damage to flower and veggie gardens!

Kathy and Claire, thank you! Not only do the deer stop by for dinner, they also are here for breakfast and lunch!
