OK, I know that this buffalo is not a gal, but the title seemed to work.  And, yes, I did Google the song and read all the words.  If I ever paint a woman w/ feet as big as the sidewalk, I already have my title chosen!

I am so brought back to childhood history classes and the stories of the westward push, the plains, the Indians...Beautiful job, Pam! And would you ever want to paint a girl with feet as big as a sidewalk??? LOL

you captured the magnificence and energy of the buffalo, Pam. It brought back memories of my trip to Yellowstone.

OH my ... its been awhile since I've seen a buffalo, but its been even longer since I've sang that song.

No mistaken 'that' is buffalo ... good job.

Celeste, Thanks so much. Actually, this herd lives up in the mountains about an hour from here, so I see them off and on!

Thank you Sherry, Living in the west is still a bit like living in history when you get out in rural areas.

Julie, Thanks so much. I often stop and look when I see a herd on the side of the road.

Thanks so much Nancy. Come down here, we have a herd nearby.

Merci beaucoup Martine.

Nancy, Thank you!

Theresa, Thank you! Animals are so much a part of the western outdoors. I love painting them!
