South Platte Valley

South Platte Valley
11" x 14"  Oil
$295.00 + $10. s/h

This little valley is tucked away by the South Platte River.  Occasionally when there we see a few other people, usually fly fisherman.  But more often than not we're the only people around.

Gorgeous painting. So soft and inviting. Fab composition and colors. Nice to find a hidden treasure.

Color is super, I think painting water is not an easy thing to do and you did it really welll here.

Thank you Debbi. I moved the start of the stream a little to change the composition and make it pull you in.

Douglas, thanks so much. I think that painting something you know often makes the piece work well.

Thanks so much Hilda.

What a beautiful spot! I found myself thinking that if it were me trying to fly fish, I'd manage to get that fly caught up in all the grasses around it and probably miss the water every time!

Simply beautiful Pam! Love your color palette in this one. I definitely think you captured the tranquility of this area.
