This was painted earlier this summer in a neighborhood of mostly older houses here in Colorado Springs. I love painting in this area. I sometimes spend too much time walking around the neighborhood and in the alleys before I paint. I'm not sure that you can spend "too" much time walking around before a painting. This time always helps me find a great subject matter, get a feel for what I'm painting, and helps me with the composition and light source.
