100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings, Original Artwork by Pam Holnback, 68/100

White Cosmos
6" x 6" Oil
$100.00 + $10. s/h

When I first looked at these guys, or gals, I thought it would be too busy with all the other flowers in the background.  But, just suggesting them with brushes of color seemed to work.

Today in our backyard:

Our backyard is filled with flowers and pathways, creating a yard with not much lawn...much less to mow!  And, you can see a fence behind the flowers to keep out the deer.

Today in our front yard:

This is my friend waiting for me to go out the garage door to get the mail!  That's her bedroom where she takes her afternoon naps.

The painting is just perfect and I do like the way you have downplayed the supporting acts.

And, how cute is that little fella by your garage?

Aww, she is so cute! This is beautiful and reminded me of Monet's work a bit. Love the hints of background flowers. Your decision was spot on!

Love the colors here. Very nice captured loosely. Thank goodness for your fence. Deer are a problem here too.

I agree with the other comments - the background is perfect in this painting. And the deer - you're very lucky to see that.

Rolina, thank you! That's another great thing but painting; the artist gets to chose the Oscar winners!

Thank you Sherry. To be reminded of a Monet! You have made my day!!

Susan, Thank so much. Simplifying really works. Yes, the fence is a god send!

Martine, Merci beaucoup!J'aime les fleurs!

Thank you Marie. Yes! I'm up to 68!!

Thank you so much Christiane!

Bridget, Thank you! I'm going to do more loose backgrounds. They lend themselves so much to the whole garden!

Lovely painting and great way to give a slight indication of other flowers and keep the great focal point. Love the pics of your gardens and the sweet deer that has found a morning home. What a great life! Happy 4th!

I love the painting but I also want your back yard....wow!! I can see where you get your inspiration. We have deer also but...no fencing so have to limit what we can really keep around. Keep 'em coming!

Wow, Pam-where I have I been? I'm catching up on your blog. Fantasic photos of your trip, your gardens and wildlife friends. Your paintings are great. I like that suggest the flowers in the background--works very well. All good!

Thanks so much Mary. I love the summer, even tho it's so short at this altitude!

Thank you Debbi. Yes, we should all count our blessings, especially on the Fourth. Our lives could have been so different! Imagine if we had not gained
our independance.!

Kathy, thanks so much. If we didn't have a fence there would be nothing back there.

Nancy. Happy 4th to you guys, too!

Thank you so much Stephanie! So glad you got caught up!

I like the high contrast in this painting Pam. Your yard looks lovely. So nice of you to keep a guest room in your front yard.

Thank you Kim. I've got 7/42 done for your 47 Club!

Amy Thank you so much! LOL. The front yard guest room is cheaper than an addition!
