100 Garden & Floral Oil Paintings, Original Art Work from A Colorado Daily Painter, 14/100

Sheep
6" x 6" oil on board
$100.00 + $10. s/h

This is another sheep from the same small family of 6 at the Rock Ledge Ranch.  I guess, like many chores in the yard,  it's easier when everyone chips in to help.

Your sheep paintings are really nice, Pam. I like the colors and your brush work is energetic. Well done!

I'm not sure how you paint moving sheep, but they sure are cute!

OH, I loooooove this little sheep - the brushwork is so rich and buttery! the light is wonderful, too, Pam.

Love both of these, Pam! The colors in the wool are so great and I particularly like the parallel strokes on this one.

What ~sunny~ & ~fluffy~ strokes of paint! How did you find a model-sheep like that?

Another lovely pasture scene! I so love these soft and wooly creatures. My fingers are itching for my knitting needles!

Thank you Linda, It is funny, but sometimes, w/ quick brushwork, the painting just falls in place.

Dana, Thank you. The sheep are used to people, as this is sort of a tourist attraction. They just stood there, moving to eat, not to run away from people. But, I did this one from a photo. However, they just stood there for the photo.

Thank you Deborah, There is something to paint almost everywhere. Thus, so many painters!

Kelley, Thanks. Don't you love it when the sun/light is perfect!

Thank you Gwen, I have a great photo of 4 together and it's amazing how their wool is all different colors.. A painting for the future.

Jill, Thank you. The sun was perfect, the sheep hadn't yet been sheared, and even thought the seep are used to people and don't run away, this guy is from a photos.

Amy and Nancy, As always, Thank you!!

Sherry, Thanks. Since this is a "working " farm, I wonder what they do w the wool. Maybe spin and sell it in the shop. I'll look into that.
